  • What's in the box?

The PowerMAX UV portable battery pack comes complete with charger, USB charging cord, carrying strap, and user’s manual.

  • What kinds of devices can be charged?

The PowerMAX UV charges all the major phone brands, including iPhone, Samsung, LG, Huawei, and more. It also charges cameras, Macbooks, tablets, GoPro cameras and wireless speakers from Bose, Sonos, UE, JBL and more. In short, any device that can be charged wirelessly or via USB-A or USB-C cable can be charged by our power bank.

  • How many charges can I get out of the PowerMAX

With 25000mAh real capacity, the PowerMAX can charge an iPhone up to 9 times, and a Macbook or similar laptop with USB-C access twice. You can get extra charging power when you use the solar panel, but it should never be used as the main charging source.

  • How long does the flashlight last?

Up to 30 hours, depending on the brightness mode and amount of charge remaining in the battery pack.

  • How does the Emergency Light Mode work?

Use the Emergency Light Mode if you are in a life-threatening situation in the dark. This increases the chance that rescuers can find you from the ground or from the air. To activate the emergency light, press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds. This activates the normal Flashlight mode. Press the Power button two more times to activate the Emergency mode. To turn the light off, no matter which mode you are in, press the Power button again for 2 seconds.

  • How do I know how much charge is remaining?

Press the Power button once to show the current charge status. The four blue LED lights will indicate the current battery status. We recommend fully charging the power bank before each adventure.

  • What is the small row of blue lights?

The four blue LEDs indicate the current battery charge status (see above).

  • Where is the UV Sanitizer and how can I use it?

The UV light is located next to the USB ports on the top edge panel. To activate, press and hold the UV button (on the right side of the power bank) for 2 seconds.

  • What can the UV Sanitizer be used on?

The PowerMax UV1 comes with two integrated UV-lights capable of killing 99.9% of viral agents and bacteria from small surfaces. You can protect yourself and others by sanitizing everyday items you normally wouldn’t clean such as toothbrushes, keys, eyeglasses, bank cards and more. You can also use it on camping gear during your outdoor adventures. The UV Light is also useful in checking for invisible stains, detecting certain bugs like yellow scorpions, and even to authenticate currency when travelling.

  • Is the UV Sanitizer safe?

The built-in UV Sanitizer is clinically tested and very efficient for sanitizing small surfaces when used correctly. According to the test results from the laboratory, using the UV Sanitizer for 1 minute at a distance of 1 cm (0.4 inch) eliminates 99.76% of E. Coli, 99.66% of S. Aureus and 95.92% of C. Albicans. Do not use it to sanitize large surfaces.

  • What should I consider when using the UV Sanitizer?

Before using the UV Sanitizer, please check the safety measures in the user manual. Never shine the UV light into someone’s eyes, as doing so can lead to blindness. For safety reasons, we recommend wearing eye protection when using the UV Sanitizer. Never have direct skin contact with the UV light as this can cause irritation. Use the UV Sanitizer at a distance of 1 cm (0.4 inch) from smaller surfaces, for a time of at least 1 minute to kill 99.9% of the pathogens. For the full effect, use the UV Sanitizer in the dark.

  • How much area can the UV light sanitize at a time?

At a distance of 1 cm (0.4 inch), and for a time of one minute, you can sanitize an area of approximately 25 square centimeters, or 10 square inches.

  • Can the UV Sanitizer be used on water?

No. You can sterilize smaller surfaces like mobile phones, toothbrushes, cutlery after an outdoor meal, handles, and other small items. Never use it to sanitize water, as this is not an effective method of getting safe drinking water.

  • Is the UV Sanitizer effective against Covid-19?

This has not been verified. UV light works effectively against nearly all viruses and bacteria. However, there have not yet been tests to specifically establish the effectiveness against the Coronavirus. We recommend acting according to the recommended governmental guidelines and do not rely on any UV Sanitizer against Covid-19.

  • Can you fully charge the PowerMAX using the Solar Panel?

The solar charging capabilities of the PowerMAX are designed to provide extra power and cannot be used to fully charge the device on its own. To get the most charging capabilities out of the PowerMAX, charge it fully via wall plug. With a fast charging cable it takes 8-10 hours. We recommend fully charging the power bank via wall plug before each adventure. The Solar Panel can be used to restore some charge to the battery pack, but should not be relied on except in the case of an emergency.

  • How much extra charge can I get from the Solar Panel?

The PowerMAX uses the latest solar technology for this size of panels, and is ahead of many other solar power banks. The battery capacity of PowerMAX is 25,000 mAh with a charging capacity of 300 mAh. In one day with good light conditions, you should have enough energy to charge the battery of an iPhone 12 between 60% and 80%. In emergency situations, this might be just enough to make a difference.

  • How do I know if the Solar Panel is working?

When the green LED is lit, the solar charging is active. Solar charging is activated automatically whenever there is enough light. However, the power production of the Solar Panel depends on natural factors such as the intensity of the sunlight in your location and the temperature of the solar panel.

  • How long does it take to fully charge the PowerMAX?

It depends on the power coming out of your wall and the charger and cable you are using. Normally the PowerMAX should be fully charged in 8 to 10 hours if you use the included PD fast charging adapter and cable. However, it can take much longer with other cables. We recommend fully charging via wall outlet, and to use the solar charging outdoors to extend the battery running time but never as the main charging source.

  • Do I have to fully charge the PowerMAX before using?

We recommend giving your new PowerMAX a full charge to ensure you get the most use out of it. With a PD fast charging adapter and cable, it takes approximately 8 to 10 hours.

  • Can I use it to charge my laptop? What about my camera?

The PowerMAX can charge almost anything with a USB-A, USB-C or Micro-B input, even if it is not listed on our site. It can also charge Macbooks, iPads, cameras, GoPros and much more.

  • How quickly can it charge a device?

Of course it depends on the device, but with its optimized technology the PowerMAX can charge very quickly. As an example, our integrated PD Fast Charger can fully charge an iPhone in under an hour.

  • Why is PowerMAX charging faster than regular power banks?

PowerMAX UV supports 10W Wireless Fast Charging and is equipped with the latest PD Fast Charging technology, providing 2.5 times faster speed than with a regular charger. If you charge via cable, then you can enjoy 20W Fast Charging. This is 2-4 times faster than ordinary power banks!

  • Can I take my PowerMAX on an airplane?

Absolutely. The PowerMAX is safe to take on planes, just make sure you’re following airline regulations regarding electronic devices with batteries in your luggage.

  • Will the Wireless Charger work with a phone case?

Yes, but the phone case should not be too thick. We suggest using a case not more than 1 mm thick and if you can, it’s better to take the phone out of its case for wireless charging.

  • My phone has a 2,500 mAh battery capacity. Since the PowerMAX has a capacity of 25,000 mAh, why can I not charge it 10 times?

As with all electrical circuits, some energy will be lost, usually in the form of heat energy. Depending on the cable used for charging, around 65 to 75% will actually go into charging your device.

  • Can I use my PowerMAX in the cold?

We recommend that you not use the PowerMAX below 32 degrees Fahrenheit (0 degrees Celsius). While we do not guarantee that it will work properly after use in the cold, we have not yet experienced any problems due to cold conditions.

  • How long is the warranty period for the PowerMAX UV?
